Calabacito Alumbrador has its roots in a magical tale from Sampués, Sucre, Colombia. In this place where we craft our pieces, the characters live in darkness, completely unaware of the existence of light. Their astonishment and innocence when confronted with technological advancements of that era are evident. Calabacito invites us to rediscover our capacity for wonder and to recognize the light that has always been present and that we can amplify, not only seeing what is in our surroundings but also examining what lies beyond.
